ANTONINVS AVGVSTVS Laureate and draped bust of Caracalla to right, seen from behind. Rev. Very rare. A fresh, clear and sharply struck coin. Minor flan crack, otherwise, good extremely fine.


This is a curious coin in that it combines an obverse of 201 with a reverse of 203. While the style is excellent, the lettering is very slightly off, indicating a very well made contemporary imitation rather than a mint error from the regular Rome mint.
